What the diploma covers.

A structured online programme across the complete spectrum of knee surgery. Led by consultants who operate on these patients weekly, with live cases, imaging reviews and structured assessment.

  • Traumatic lesions including fractures, dislocations and acute ligament injuries
  • Surgical indications and when not to operate
  • Comprehensive rehabilitation programmes
  • Osteochondral defects and osteonecrosis

  • PCL rupture management
  • Paediatric knee conditions, acute and chronic
  • Tumours around the knee
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Degenerative change and its surgical options
  • Unicompartmental, patellofemoral and total knee replacement

Learning outcomes

  • Master essential surgical anatomy and biomechanics of the knee.
  • Confidently assess and manage the full range of knee pathology.
  • Understand the surgical spectrum from deformity correction through arthroplasty and arthrodesis.
  • Develop nuanced decision-making in trauma, degenerative, inflammatory and sports conditions.
  • Prepare for success in national and international fellowship exams.
