Study leave and funding request
I am asking the department to fund £940 for me to take the Orthopaedic Oncology Diploma, a live online professional development programme run by Professional Medical International Ltd (PM Diplomas) in partnership with The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS) and the Miller Review Course Oxford.

| Format | Live on Zoom. Each one-hour session is a 45-minute talk built around cases, then 10 to 15 minutes of your questions to the speaker. Recorded for the weeks you miss. |
| Time needed | 25 hours of live teaching. Sessions run in the UK evening, so little or no time away from clinical work is needed. |
| Assessment | Weekly MCQs, final written paper. |
| Outcome | A digital certificate of completion carrying the final classification, for appraisal and the CPD portfolio. It is a professional development certificate, not an academic qualification. |
| Accreditation | CME/CPD accreditation to be applied for. |
| Fee | £940 for the whole cohort: every live session, the recordings and the assessment. Paid by card at enrolment through a secure Stripe checkout, with a receipt issued. |
