Scholarships

Apply for a scholarship.

We offer scholarships of 25%, 50%, 75% or the full fee to surgeons practising in low and lower-middle income countries, and in countries affected by conflict.

Tell us where you practise and what you earn, and upload a recent payslip or a letter from your hospital HR department. We review every application and email you with a decision, usually within five working days.

Scholarship places are offered on diplomas currently accepting registrations. If you are awarded a scholarship, we will email you a scholarship code and a payment link.

PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB. You may black out everything except your name, your employer, the date and your pay.

How we use and keep your information

We use the details and document you submit only to assess your scholarship application. They are seen by the PMI scholarship reviewers and are not shared outside PMI.

Your document is held in private storage and is never publicly accessible. Reviewers view it through a link that expires after 10 minutes.

Retention: we automatically delete your uploaded document 30 days after we make a decision. We keep the application record (your details, the recommendation, the decision and any discount code issued) so we can administer the award and meet our accounting obligations, normally for six years.
